Kody Cronan

Kody’s background in carpentry and architecture is evident in his thoughtful approach to design by creating valuable design solutions in balance with constructability and cost. His ability and enthusiasm to synthesize these goals are due to his loyalty to the crafts and the mission and core values of Pivotal. As the Principal and Owner of Pivotal, Kody sees all work and efforts of the firm as a shared undertaking and accomplishment.

Adam Buehler

Adam is a talented visual artist and activist whose work with issues of homelessness and poverty led him into the field of architecture. Always drawn to construction and the mechanics of the building process, his realization about the lack of housing is ultimately what inspired him to become an architect. With a strong background in Trauma Informed Design, Adam is passionate about exploring ways our built environment can provide healing and be a tool for social justice.

Shelbi Kristie

With her experience in various aspects of the industry such as accounting, drafting, HR, and business management, Shelbi is able to wear many hats in the Pivotal office. Her greatest strengths are multi-tasking and the capability to quickly learn and take on any task she is given. She is excited to both grow within the company and help the company grow and achieve its goals. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog and enjoying the Colorado outdoors.

Alex Lampson

Alex has over 5 years of experience in the architecture field, much of which was spent working on large commercial interiors projects including many for the federal government. He appreciates the technical side of architecture and cites thoroughness and attention to detail are his strongest points. Alex is interested in learning more about affordable housing and community-sensitive architecture.

Heather Cooper

Heather brings over seven years of architectural experience in commercial, residential, and multi-disciplinary design. Her greatest strength is being a team player by keeping everyone on track, jumping in where help is needed, and listening to client’s needs. Heather loves to be challenged and is a problem solver, whether it’s space planning, site design, or material selections. Outside of work, she loves being outdoors and spending time with her husband and dog.

Fatima Hirji

Fatima brings 15 years of experience in a wide range of building types. These include healthcare facilities, market rate multifamily apartments, affordable housing projects, and bespoke single-family homes. An active member of her local neighborhood organization, she facilitated and won a grant from Historic Denver to study the history of one of Denver’s early neighborhoods, La Alma Lincoln Park. Her research and community outreach enabled the La Alma neighborhood to be awarded a historic and cultural designation in 2021, the second of only two such designations in the city of Denver. She is an advocate for under-represented communities providing design solutions that address the basic rights to fresh air and light in all built environments.

Chris Lozyniak

Chris is a thrill-seeking skier and all-around mountain man whose interest in the built environment was sparked by the shelters he built in the wilderness as a child. Finding the alignment between nature and shelter continues to be a source of inspiration for Chris. In addition to his extensive background in Multifamily Design, Chris also has experience in as-built surveying and architectural photography. Chris’ aptitude for process and efficiency shines as Pivotal’s BIM Manager and Revit wizard.
